Do you ever notice that some people have black and white thinking? Do you categorize everything as good or bad, good or evil, clean or dirty? There are at least 38 shades in between black and white. Black and white thinking can be destructive to your self-worth and is associated with mental illness.
The idea of moving beyond black and white thinking to accept the grey area, in whatever shades it may appear to you is admirable. Give yourself some room to breathe. You deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt.
